Soil Boring Logging & Classification
Soil Boring, also called Geotechnical Boring, is a technique used to investigate and determine soil composition and conditions at a particular site. Using various drilling rigs, the geotechnical engineers at Dutch Cone collect soil samples for testing to provide a complete subsurface profile. Soil boring is a critical first step in any construction project as it provides information on the soil’s load-bearing capabilities, water table and chemical contamination.
